Why do People Buy Flags?

Did you ever wonder as to why people buy flags? Flags indeed make for a wonderful gift, particularly those having a special link to a specific world or country. Many times, you buy flag as a gift to bring that level of comfort and pride to one who is away from home or to indicate cohesion and harmony with someone in that region. This is all the use of a flag, however they do much more deeper meanings that this.

The Union Jack Flag is in existence since the 19th century. The flag that we see today is a combination of St. Andrew’s cross, St. Patrick’s Cross and St. George’s Cross. This Union Jack Flag is being recognized by several names like The Kings Jack, Union Flag, Jack Flag and The Jack. Well, it is important to know the correct way of flying the Union Jack Flag. The flag end starting from the topmost right hand corner down should go in the sequence of white, blue and red. So, if it is red, white and blue then it is wrong.

The British flag is also known as Union Jack and it is an amalgamation of 3 flags of the countries including England, Scotland and Ireland. The progression of the flag was a complex process that started from the early use of a British flag in 1600. The term Jack was used to refer a bow flag that is often flown in naval warships.
