Golf flags for Special Occasions

There may be many occasions where the golf flag can be used as a method of decoration or as an advertising banner. There are parties that are kept in a golf theme and some such parties will require decorations that mirror golf traditions. One of this is the golf tee flag.

You can make your own golf themed party tee flags with nails or staples, glue, wooden dowels and pieces of felt.

To create a felt golf flag, first draw a triangle of roughly 8.5 inches height by 11 inches width on a paper. You will be using this as your template.

The sheets of felt should be about nine inches by twelve inches and you can pick the amount of sheets depending on how many flags you plan to make.

Use the paper triangle and draw on the felt and cut out the triangles. You can then attach the felt to the wooden dowels by using either glue, nails or staples. The size of the dowels may vary depending on whether it is for adults, then six inch dowels, or for children, in which case use three inch dowels.

In order to hang up your finished creation, slide a string along the dowel of each flag, stringing them together.

You could secure the ends of the string to the walls or places you are decorating with thumbtacks or if you’re sticking them into the ground, then you don’t have to shorten the dowels or remove them.
Heras banners can also be made this way.
